Hey, guys, I’m back! Miss me? I knew you would!
First of all, I have to ask if you’ve all gone out and bought a copy of the latest episode of my fabulously marvelous life, titled They Wear What Under Their Kilts? If you haven’t, you should, because it’s a great book. Honestly, it’s wunderfabu! Would I lie to you?
Let’s get right to this month’s crop o’ questions! Let’s see, the first one is…oh. It’s to Katie. Sigh. Well, I’ll answer it since she’s busy doing author stuff (probably watching Return of the King for the gazillionth time. She has a crush on Viggo, which is just stupid because Orlando clearly is the one who rocks in that movie!).
Question (for Katie Maxwell) from Krista L: I just had a question- I was wondering if you were going to post a excerpt of "They wear what under their kilts?" on your website? btw, <3 ur books! Cant wait to read them all! And also those others The one "eyeliner of the gods" I think, sounds really fab!!!!
My answer: Katie has posted an excerpt of the mega-tight TWWUTK (pronounced "tuwutuk") on her website at www.katiemaxwell.com, but there’s also one here on the Smooch site. So if you’re not sure whether or not you want to read the book (which is just crazy, since I’ve told you it’s wonderful!), you can check out the excerpt at either place. Katie’s site says that the Eyeliner of the Gods book will be out in July, so that’s cool.
Next question! It’s from…well, poop! It’s another one for Katie.
Question (for Katie Maxwell) from Ashley–who probably could have thought up a question for me if she tried harder: Why do you write your adult romance novels under another name?
My answer: because they’re boring. Oops! I shouldn’t have said that (Katie cries if you say mean things to her). They’re meant for a different audience, so Katie uses a different name so people won’t get confused. Makes sense, huh? I mean, would you want to spend the money you had to beg and plead to get from your mom on a book that you thought was going to be a high-quality, extremely wonderful story about my time in England, and instead find yourself reading a book with vampires and old guys and stuff? No, you would not! Although vamps are cool. I like vamps. Especially Spike.
Last question! This is a quessie from…well, cheese on rye! Doesn’t anyone have a question for me? Fwah!
Question (for Katie "Hogs all the e-mails" Maxwell) from Cynthia: I really liked your book. It helped me takes my mind off of my finals.Thank you!!! I am really glad that Emily will be have more adventures. I will be sure to pick up your next book.
My answer: OK, so there wasn’t really a question there, but I like Cynthia because she obviously has mondo-excellent taste. So, go Cynthia! Hope the finals went well, and you didn’t spill your latte on the answer sheet like I did last semester. Man, what a mess that was. Who knew a latte tipping over could splash in such a wide radius? I told everyone to use cold water to wash the latte out of their clothes, but did they listen? Noooo, they just complained, and made me sit by myself in a corner with newspapers on the floor around me like I was a puppy who might piddle at any moment. Fwah with bells on it!
